      • Burgundy: this region is known for its Pinot Noir and Chardonnay (Chablis), 2 grapes that can be traced back to medieval times. Crémant de Bourgogne is produced here and is a sparkling wine which uses the same grapes and process as Champagne but for a much lower price.
      • Loire Valley: this region produces crisp Sauvignon Blancs, elegant Cabernet Francs and the most versatile grape in the world – Chenin Blanc. This is the home of Sancerre and Vouvray.
      • Rhône Valley: Viognier and Syrah are the stars of Northern Rhône while in Southern Rhône, blends (red and rosé) can feature up to 18 different grapes in a blend!
      • Alsace: this region is known for its white wines that have floral and spicy aromas such as Gewürztraminer.
      • Beaujolais: this is the home of Beaujolais Nouveau whose release is celebrated annually on the third Thursday of November. 
      • Languedoc-Roussillon/Provence: this region’s warm Mediterranean climate is ideal for producing delicious rosé wines (and other wines) at affordable prices.
